MIWRC receives second seal of approval from the Charity Review Council

June 13, 2011 at 12:00 AM

Charity Review Council seal of approval renewed for MIWRC.

June 3, 2011, MIWRC received its second “Seal of Approval” from the Charities Review Council by complying with the Charity Review standards.  The first seal was issued on April 3, 2008.

The Charities Review Council is an independent resource for people who make contributions to support charities. They are dedicated to empowering potential donors in making informed and thoughtful giving decisions, so that donors can be more effective in helping charities advance their important community work. At this time, Minnesota, is the only state that has a independent resource for donors.

“When the Native American Parenting Traditions Revisited (NAPTR) parenting curriculum was piloted at MIWRC recently, all participants demonstrated 100% sobriety during the course. They credited NAPTR with helping them learn where they came from, what their tribal traditions were and how these traditions could help them stay strong.”
