Description:  

This unique training experience will focus on the various ways chronic grief & loss, Historical Trauma, and ongoing systemic oppression influence substance use in American Indian families and individuals. Resiliency factors, cultural healing practices, and best practices when working with American Indian clients will be explored. 

Pending approval for 8 LADC CEUs.  

This training is open to all community members, but is designed for counseling students, licensed and pre-licensed professionals, peer support specialists, and others working with American Indian families and individuals affected by Substance Use.
